Iranian media confirms Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has been assassinated

Iran to mourn Ali Khamenei for 40 days
On March 1st, a day after the US and Israeli attack, Iranian media officially acknowledged the death of the country’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. Previously, US President Trump made a similar claim, but Iran denied it.
Iranian state television IRIB sadly confirmed: “The Supreme Leader of Iran has died a martyr,” and then announced that the entire country would mourn for 40 days over this great loss.
US President confirms the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader
Earlier, on February 28th, or early morning March 1st Vietnam time, US President Donald Trump announced that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had died after an unprecedented attack by the US and Israel.
“Khamenei, one of the most evil men in history, is dead. This is not only justice for the Iranian people, but also for all great Americans,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account, urging people to seize the opportunity to overthrow the current Iranian regime.
In an interview with NBC, the American leader also said he believed reports that the Iranian Supreme Leader had been killed were “accurate.” “The Iranian Supreme Leader could not have escaped our extremely sophisticated intelligence and surveillance systems.”
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that there were many signs indicating Khamenei “was no longer alive.”
According to Israeli media, a photograph of Khamenei’s body was shown to Trump and Netanyahu.
“Senior Israeli officials have been informed of Khamenei’s death. His body was found in the rubble of his private residence,” Kan reported.
There has been no confirmation of Khamenei’s death from Tehran. Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told NBC that the Supreme Leader was still alive.
Trump also called on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and police to join the people in “bringing the country back to its glory days.” “That process will soon begin, because not only Khamenei’s death but the country of Iran has been devastated and even wiped out in a single day,” he said.
