In the face of unimaginable loss, Nichole Blevins has found a path toward healing — not just for herself, but for her family, through the lens of her camera. Just weeks ago, Nichole’s world was shattered when her 11-year-old son, Branson Blevins, tragically passed away after battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and succumbing to complications from an adenovirus contracted in a hospital in Rome, Italy.

For any parent, the loss of a child is an earth-shattering tragedy. But for Nichole, Donald, and their children, Maddox and Maggie, it has been a journey defined by love, resilience, and the constant quest for meaning in the face of heartbreak. Despite the overwhelming grief, Nichole’s words resonate with strength, as she reflects on the immense support from family, friends, and even strangers that has carried her through these harrowing times.

“Stepping back behind the lens didn’t feel like ‘getting back to work.’ It felt like reconnecting with a part of myself I haven’t held in a very long time… I’m honoring life by moving slowly, intentionally, and more gently than I ever have before.”
