Scream 7 (2025)
Scream 7 (2025) is the upcoming seventh installment in the iconic Scream slasher franchise, directed by Kevin Williamson, the original writer of the series. This marks his return to the director’s chair after nearly 15 years. Set to be released on February 27, 2026, the film promises a fresh yet nostalgic take on the Ghostface legend.
The movie features the return of series veterans Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Surprisingly, Matthew Lillard (Stu Macher) and Scott Foley (Roman Bridger) are also expected to appear, despite their characters’ presumed deaths. Several new cast members join the franchise, including Isabel May, Mckenna Grace, and Joel McHale, while Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega will not return.
Filming began in early 2025 under the working title Scar Tissue, with Marco Beltrami composing the score. Plot details remain secret, building suspense for what’s next in the Scream legacy.
