Honouring the Remarkable Life of Dr. Jane Goodall 

Last week, at Taronga Zoo, we gathered to celebrate the extraordinary life of Dr. Jane Goodall—a woman whose courage, curiosity, and compassion forever changed how we understand the natural world.

During her memorial on 13 November, JGIA CEO Maria Skyes reminded us of Jane’s enduring message:
“Hope is an act of defiance, and every action matters.”

As we reflect on her incredible journey, we honor the legacy she left behind, carrying it forward with renewed purpose. Today, we choose connection, care, and stewardship for the planet she dedicated her life to protecting.

Dr. Jane Goodall’s light will continue to guide us, inspiring a future where the planet thrives, where biodiversity flourishes, and where hope drives every step we take.
