Did You Know? Michael Jackson’s Chimpanzee Bubbles Turns 42!

Michael Jackson’s iconic chimpanzee, Bubbles, once an inseparable companion to the King of Pop, is still living the good life — and he’s now 42 years old!  After spending much of his youth in the limelight, Bubbles now enjoys a quiet retirement at the Center for Great Apes in Florida, far from the flashing lights of fame.

No longer surrounded by the hustle and bustle of celebrity, Bubbles now spends his days relaxing under the shade of trees, indulging in painting sessions, and bonding with other rescued chimps.  These peaceful days are a far cry from his wild past, where he traveled the world with Michael, often seen on stage and at Jackson’s side during his shows.

But Bubbles’ story is more than just a tale of fame and fortune; it’s a story of second chances. The playful chimp, once a symbol of pop culture, is now living out his days in a sanctuary dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for apes who have been retired from public life.
